Tom Kuutti has a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from the University of Minnesota plus 25 years engineering and management experience. As the CEO of HUDstar Systems from 2001 - 2015, Tom led the design and manufacture of life-safety electronic products for the fire service industry.
Tom’s other successes include 3 patents and the 1st place Crystal Globe Award in Product Design & Development’s international design competition, for the development of a Heads-Up Display inside a firefighter’s mask.
Phillip Tran has a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Phillip began his career doing engineering work for the U.S. Navy. In 1997, he started his own electronic manufacturing company in Norcross, Georgia and secured many prominent clients such as Panasonic, Georgia Power & Light.
Phillip believes in using state-of-the-art SMT automation equipment and constant personnel training to improve quality and reduce costs.
Mauri Korhonen is an accomplished business executive with over 4 decades of electronics manufacturing, sales and service experience with several prominent international companies. Mauri’s track record includes 10 years as Vice President of Ingenico, National Service Manager at Fuji, and Vice President of Mosler, during which time Mauri had 700 employees in his division.
Mauri has connections to many Fortune 500 companies, including Walgreens, CVS and many other potential USA Medical customers.
Chief Financial Officer
Chris Smith has 28 years of financial experience. He earned his degree in accounting from Georgia State University. After becoming a CPA, Chris was a corporate controller, after which he founded his own accounting firm, in 2003. Since then, Chris has been involved with accounting and tax services along with business management guidance to companies in various industries.
Chris’ articles have been published in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta Business Chronicle and Appen Newspapers. Chris has also been featured as a financial expert on Fox 5’s “Good Day Atlanta” and “11Alive News”.
Dr. Michael Hoosien
Chief Medical Officer
Michael Hoosien, MD MSc, received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He continued his training with an internal medicine residency at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital, a post-doctoral fellowship in molecular cardiology at the Miller School of Medicine, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He also holds a masters degree in biotechnology and bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Hoosien is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. He treats patients with cardiac arrhythmias and has special interests in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, management of supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia, and cardiac resynchronization therapy.
